Rough times gone by, glimmering
Until they come back again,
Sunlight might not be the only way out,
Tonight's stars might gleam in vain
It's sad when dreams don't come true
But I won't lie, sometimes they do,
And what stays behind's unsung
I guess it's up to anywho
What's left to daydream about, Ms. Moon?
Would I rather stop sky gazing every afternoon?
I spent my last days on mind trips, all wrapped up in neon lights,
on an obsidian highway so colorful, yet as dark as night.
Round dark glasses, wavy stripes,
Hourglasses, sleepy eyes
